Each year the Area 'A' Crab Association provides 2 bursaries in the amount of $500.00 to each of the three secondary schools in the area. These schools are Charles Hays Secondary and Prince Rupert Secondary in Prince Rupert and George M. Dawson secondary in Masset. Preference is given to family members of fishermen or those involved with the fishing industry. Payment of the bursary is made upon confirmation of enrolment and proof of registration at any post secondary institution, and the bursary must be used within one year of graduation. Eligible students may apply by completing and submitting the general application form available at their school.
